How can banging pots and pans help?
ReplyDeleteTaking action against and raising awareness about domestic violence is something easily ignored in many cultures and countries. South Africa has used a special type of media, Edutainment or Entertainment Education, to address these issues and many more within the country. Two South African doctors have created a soap opera television show to educate audiences about ways to protest violence and support the abused. The characters in the show learn about the Domestic Violence Law in South Africa, their legal rights and other social support for victims like a telephone helpline. In this short videoclip you will see what a strong message banging pots and pans can send.
